Dasara "Doll House"

The celebration of Navarathri / Dasara festival involves a unique tradition of "Gombe Habba" or "Toy Festival". It includes exhibition of various dolls. Hindustan First Grade College took an initiative of celebration "Gombe Habba" in the college premises. The exhibition of dolls included Pattada Gombe(wooden dolls), Dashavatara, Birth of Jesus Christ, Animals and Birds, various other dolls.

Yuvadasara

The wonderful performance of dance drama Hindustan First Grade College was appreciated widely and was selected to perform again during Yuvadasara. Out of 161 college performance, best 25 dance performance were selected to re-perform in Yuvadasara. Our students gave a stunning performance on 13th Oct 2018 at Maharaja College Grounds at 6.00 PM

Yuvasambrama

The students of Hindustan First Grade College performed at Yuvasambrama - 2018 a part of Dasara Cultural programmes. The students performed a dance-drama related to Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna on 30th Sep 2018. The programe was held Open Air Theatre, Manasagangothri. 40 students of our college performed a malicious presentation of dance drama and succeeded in attracting all the audience gathered there.

Business Quiz at TTL College

The two HFGC 1) Mohammed Shakeel and Namratha, III Sem B.Com. students participated in Business Quiz at TTL College of Business Management, Mysuru. And won the 2nd Prize in the contest.

"Campus Programme" conducted by Indian TV Channel

Indian TV local channel of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, conducted a campus programme on 27th Sep. 2018 at the college campus. The programme included interaction with students and few one-minute games, followed by quiz related to dasara celebration. Harini, student of I B.Com emerged as the winner of the quiz conducted by the TV Channel.

Expert Talk for B.Com & BBA Students

As the part of Commerce & Management Expert Talk Programme, on 21st September 2018, an special talk was arranged for B.Com & BBA Students on the topic "Opportunities to today's context; how to cope up with changing scenario". The guest lecture Mr. Ravichandra Bekal is a senior and versatile Human Resources & Corporate Affairs professional with executive experience of over 3 decades in diverse Industry segments like Engineering (Kriloskar- 6yrs) Electronic Hardware and Software (Larsen & Tourbro- 5yrs), FMCG-MNC (Nestle India -25 yrs). They were an active participation of students by interacting with the speaker on the topic, which was helpful in enhancing the knowledge of the students. The guest stressed on the topics like job opportunities, skills required to meet the dynamic competition of today's business world.

Quiz Competition

A Quiz competition was conducted to the students of Hindustan First Grade College on 17th September 2018. The Competition was a part of “Engineer’s Day” celebration. All the students of the college were given an opportunity to take part in written test. 18 students were qualified for the second round. The second, third and the fourth round of the quiz were conducted between 3.00 PM and 4.30 PM at Vishweswaraiah Hall.

Industrial Visit

An Industrial visit was organised to BEML on 8th September 2018 to all the students of HFGC who were accompanied by teaching faculties along with Vice Principal Mr. Chethan H, BEML Ltd is the leading manufacturer of heavy earth moving equipment in Asia and an Indian Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. B.Com, BBA & BCA students interacted with the employees and they have seen two manufacturing unit and stock maintenance, which enhanced the knowledge.

Talents Day

Talents day was celebrated on 07th of September 2018. The talents day provides an opportunity for the students folk to exhibit their special talents in dancing, singing and other activities. The participants in group and solo came up with mind blowing performances. Students performed for variety songs from various languages. Rini V of III B.Com., compeered the cultural performances. The programme began with a formal welcome and ended with vote of thanks.

Industrial Visit

To give an insight about the way things work in the real practical life scenario, an Industrial visit was organised for students of Final year B.Com and II year BCA on 6th September 2018 to Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Mysore. Where the students were split into two batches one group was led by Mrs. Ramya R and Mr. Eshwar V and the other was led by Mrs. Savitha K V and Mrs. Sukshma R D. Larsen & Toubro is a major technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services conglomerate, with global operations. L&T addresses critical needs in key sectors - Hydrocarbon, Infrastructure, Power, Process Industries and Defence - for customers in over 30 countries around the world.

Farewell 2018

On 13 April 2018 the First and second year students arranged fare-well 2018 for the students of final year B.com, several games & activities were conducted and Ms. Sanjana & Mr. Pavan I.V were crowned as Ms. Hindustan & Mr Hindustan 2018. The students shared their experience & memories they created in these 3 years with great zeal. Summing up the day was great filled with nostalgia, fun and excitement.

SPECTRA 2K18

SPECTRA 2K18, a carnival of talent is a one day Cultural ,IT and Management fest hosted at HFGC campus on 3rd April 2018. Prof.Niranjana vanalli, professor and chairman,Mass communication and journalism,Manasagangotri,University of Mysore inguarated the event. The valedictory function was graced by Mrs. Suchitra RAC, V.P.Operations, Cyient DLM pvt., Ltd., Mysuru. Guest of honour for the evening was Dr. Sarvamanagala Shankar, Vice Chancellor, Karnataka State Dr.Gangubai Hanagal, Music and performing Arts University, Mysuru. The special guests of the evening included one of the top 5 contestant of the fame Kannada Bigg boss season-5 Ms.Niveditha gowda and the other dignitary Mr. Surya Kamath, one of the young and emerging sandalwood cine actor along with our principal Dr.K.Sailatha and Vice principal Mr.H.Chethan. The fest had given a chance for management, commerce and Computer students to exhibit their extracurricular activities in terms of management, IT and cultural activities. There were 6 events in total which covered the activities related to Finance, marketing , Best Manager, codefudge , solo, group dance and Treasure hunt. The response of various participants has been encouraging for all the events.

Women’s Day-2018

On 8th March 2018,in order to mark due respect to international women’s day, the staff and the students of HFGC organised and participated in a street pla, popularly know as ‘BEEDI NATAKA’ on the topic “Save girl child” around three major areas in mysore city which covered chik-gadiyara, agrahara circle & Ballal Circle. The students as well as the teachers participated enthusicaly in the play spreading the importance of girl child & women in our life. There was a vast media coverage to spread the message of women empowerment.

Campus-kalarava-2018

Mysore local news channel, news-1 kannada hosted a one-hour showcalled campus kalarava at HFGC campus on...................., where the students were provided with a platform to showcase their talent which was further broadcasted on the television. The students actively performed various events like dance, singing, mimicry and musical instruments.

Fun week 2018 was organized by the college from 22.01.2018 to 25.01.2018. Students organized fun week which exhibited talent, coordination and team spirit of our students. The fun week was initiated with the theme of Back to School, Twins day, Village day and Funky day.

Special Lecture

Details :On 23.01.2018, Mr. Abhishek Somayaji of Institute of Computer Application delivered a special lecture on "Use of different computer applications in the modern accounting world". He emphasized upon the convenience of different accounting packages available in the market. He also explained about the various computer application which has been systematically developed in order to suit the specific needs of multiple domains. The students of I year B.Com and BBA, II year and final year students participated in the session. All the Commerce and Management faculties also took part in this session

Republic Day

Details :26.01.2018 marked the republic day celebrated at the Hindustan First Grade College campus. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the flag by the Principal and Mr. Siddu, Maintenance Manager followed by the National Anthem. Out of a number of performance lined up, Samyuktha and Aishwarya sang the patriotic song in the melodies voice.

Ethnic Day

Details : Ethnic day of Hindustan First Grade College was held for all students. Diversity makes the world more beautiful. Students depicted the tradition and culture of different states of India and enthusiastically participated in the event. Fashion show was organized and students took action participation. In that Mr. Ethnic and Ms. Ethnic was awarded to Hemanth Kumar B of I year BCA and Rakshitha O S, III year B.Com was selected as Ms. Ethnic.

Free health check-up camp

Details :The inaugural activity of Y's Men association at Hindustan First Grade College was initiated on 31.01.2018 by organized a free health camp at HFGC in collaboration with Annapoorna Eye Hospital conducted free Eye check-up and also BP, Diabetes for the general public at HFGC.

Seminar on Evolution of Computers

Details : On 01.02.2018 Mr. B S Vishwanatg Rao, Rtd., HAL Computer Engineer, Director of IT Dept., Vikranth Tyres, delivered lecture on evolution of Computer from 1960 to 2018 India and also current job trend in Software Industry. The students of I year BCA Participated in the session of HFGC.
