Blood Donation Camp
Blood donation is among the highest service one can render to humanity. With this thought, a voluntary blood donation camp was conducted in our college on 21st August 2019. The blood donation camp was organized by the Y’s men club of Mysuru Chamundi & NSS unit of HFGC in association with Jeevadhara Blood Bank, Mysuru. Mr. Mohammad Shakeel, III B.Com welcomed the gathering. The guest of the programme, Dr. Kiran, Blood Bank Officer created awareness among the students about the benefits of blood donation and the eligibility criteria for donating blood. Dr. C. J. Priya, Principal in her address highlighted the safety of blood donation. She explained the importance of blood donation as it is an active way of helping others and the whole of society. The activity of blood donation was started by the staff and NSS volulnteers, thereafter other donors joined the event. There was an overwhelming response from the staff, students, general public and a total of 42 units were collected in the camp. A certificate of appreciation, donation card, refreshments were given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
