DR. KCG VERGHESE MEMORIAL CUP - STATE LEVEL INTER COLLEGIATE BOX CRICKET TOURNAMENT

On the occasion of Founder’s Day, the Department of Physical Education, Hindustan College organized Dr. K C G Verghese Memorial Cup, State Level Inter Collegiate Box Cricket Tournament on 20th and 21st of June 2022. The program was inaugurated by Retd. University Coach Dr. Mansoor Ahmed whilst the program being presided by Mr. Milton Gerald Higgins, Vice President OFAA. The chief guest and the dignitaries stressed on the quintessential stance of sports and physical activity in an individual’s life.

The Tournament comprised of 28 teams, from different institutions, wherein the nail-biting finale was played between MIT Degree College and K. Puttaswamy First Grade College. MIT College was proclaimed the winners and received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Furthermore, the runners up were rewarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 2500. The trophies and cash prizes were given to the winners and the runners during of inaugural program Spectra 2022 on 24th June 2022.
