INTER-COLLEGIATE THROWBALL, BALL BADMINTON, KHO-KHO & KABBADI TOURNAMENT
The Department of Physical Education organized the Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Ball Badminton, and Volleyball Tournament for Pre-University College Girls on August 29, 2025, at the Sports Pavilion Ground, Mysore. The winners and runners-up were awarded medals and trophies in recognition of their outstanding performances.

Kho-Kho: Winner – Vivekananda PU College, Runner-up – Hari Vidyalaya PU College
Volleyball: Winner – Teresian PU College, Runner-up – Vishwaprajna PU College
Kabaddi: Winner – Govt. PU College, People’s Park, Runner-up – Vivekananda PU College
Ball Badminton: Winner – Govt. PU College, Runner-up – Vivekananda PU College
Faculty members’ academic achievements:
- Banupriya, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management, presented a research paper on “Empowering LocalEntrepreneurs Through Financial Inclusion: A Pathway to Achieving SDGs in India” in the ICSSR-sponsored national conference on August 7th& 8th, 2025, at HITS, Chennai.
- Shruthi L., Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management, presented a research paper on “A study on Awareness of Small Vendors’ on Digital Payment in Rural Area with Special reference to Mysuru District” in the ICSSR-sponsored national conference on August 7th& 8th, 2025, at HITS, Chennai.
- Dakshayini, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management, presented a research paper on “An Emerging Study on Challenges and Opportunities of Green Marketing” in the ICSSR-sponsored national conference on August 7th& 8th, 2025, at HITS, Chennai.
- Archana, Associate Professor of Commerce and Management, presented a research paper on “Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme – a case study of Mysore District” in the ICSSR-sponsored national conference on August 7th& 8th, 2025, at HITS, Chennai.
- Shivakumar R., Assistant Professor of Kannada, participated in an online lecture program on “Prastuta Samajadalli Shikshkara Patra”, conducted by Tanushree Prakashana Soolenahalli (R.), on August 31st, 2025.

Representing college in the intercollege programs:
- Pranavi, a final-year B.Com student, wrote an essay for “Sampada,” a special periodical peer-reviewed and edited by JSS Vidyapeetha, as part of a competition. Her essay secured first place, and she was awarded in the esteemed presence of Union Agricultural and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and His Highness Sri. Dr. Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Suttur Mutt, on August 29th, 2025.
- Shreya M., a final-year BCA student, participated in an intercollege write-up competition, “Think Before You Sink”, organized by NIE First Grade College, Mysore, on July 20th, 2025,and secured third place, for which she was given a cash prize and a certificate.
