National level online quiz on Library and Information Science

A quiz is a game to test knowledge about a subject and is a brief assessment to measure growth in knowledge, abilities, and skills. In order to provide a platform to measure knowledge in Library Science – The Department of Library conducted National level online quiz on Library and Information Science. The quiz was held on 15 June 2020 from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Ms. Dhanalakshmi R. Librarian conducted the quiz for Library Professionals, LIS Students, LIS Research Scholars and those who have preparing for NET/SET exams from various parts of India. The poster along with the google forms link was posted on Whats App, Instagram and Facebook pages. The quiz link was open on 15 June 2020 from 10:00am to 6:00pm. 556 members from Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Madya Pradesh, Lucknow, WestBengal, Ladakh, Nigeria, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Maharastra, Rajastan, Odisha, Gujarath, had registered and participated in the Quiz. The Quiz was conducted using Google Forms and Google quiz form. The quiz comprised of 25 questions related to Library and Information Science. 2 mark was allotted to each correct answer. Once the participants submitted the form, they were able to see the marks obtained and the correct answer.

To maintain the quality of the quiz, E-certificate has been issued only for those who have secured 60% and above through their registered email ID immediately after the submission of the form.
