WEBINAR ON “SHAKESPEARE’S JULIUS CAESAR WITH REFERENCE TO PRESENT SEENARIO”

The Department of English organised a webinar on “Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar with reference to present scenario” on 24th July 2021. Dr. Lt. Indrani, Assistant Professor, Department of English, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru was invited as a resource person for the webinar. Dr. Indrani, spoke about the relevance of the plays of Shakespeare in the present world. The characters in the play – Julius Caesar, Cassius, Brutus, Antony were analysed with the comparison and contrast with the present world. The resource person gave a deep insight into Rome of 44 BC, history of Rome, great Roman leaders, evolution of Caesar as a Dictator and the significance of Omens in the play. Ms. Nagasri. S. the Programme Convenor introduced the Resource person and was the moderator for the session. More than 100 participants took an active part in the webinar and expressed have their positive feedback about the webinar.
