70TH KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA (EVENTS)

The Department of Languages (Kannada) celebrated 70th Kannada Rajyotsava on November 4, 2025, on the campus. The programme aimed to honour the rich cultural heritage, language, and traditions of Karnataka while instilling pride among students. The Chief Guest, Maddikere Gopal, District President, Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Mysore, underscores the importance of regional language in the ever-evolving dynamics of the present competitive world, and the responsibility of youth in preserving their mother tongue. The Principal, Dr. C. J. Priya, felicitated the Chief Guest, after which prizes were distributed to winners of various literary and cultural competitions held in connection with Kannada Rajyotsava. This was followed by the cultural programme featuring dance and singing performances that showcased Karnataka’s folk traditions.
