HACKATHON – NATIONAL LEVEL INTER COLLEGIATE IT EVENT

The Department of Computer Science organized a HACKATHON as a part of SPECTRA 2023, National Level Inter Collegiate Management, IT, Aviation & Cultural Fest on 19th May 2023. 23 teams from various colleges were registered & actively took part from various institutions.

Mr. Hemanth Kumar B, Software Engineer, Geeky Ants India Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore was invited as a Mentor and Dr. Chandrajit Mohan, Associate Professor, Dept. of Master of Computer Applications, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru was invited as a Jury member. Ms. Savitha KV, Assistant Professor & Head, Dept. of Computer Science briefed about HACKATHON event and gave introduction of the mentor. The event started at 8am, the first 6 hours time period were given time to develop an application on “Health & Wellness Technology”. The last 2 hours time period were given time for presentation. The jury member interacted with each team and evaluated based on their creativity, ideas, design and implementation. The following the details of the winners of the Hackathon event.

• 1st prize: Cash prize of Rs. 5000 and a trophy was awarded to Shailesh S & Poornima Ram, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru
• 2nd prize: Cash prize of Rs. 3000 and a trophy was awarded to Shashank H U & Hruthik T M,Vidya Vikas institute of Technology, Mysuru
• 3rd prize: Cash prize of Rs. 2000 and a trophy was awarded to Noor Uzma,& Naziya Khatoon, St. Joseph’s College for Women, Mysuru.

Food and Refreshments were provided to all the participants. The Event was concluded with a thanking note rendered by the Event Coordinator K V Savitha.
