The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to develop managerial, entrepreneurial, and leadership capabilities among students. The program provides a strong foundation in business principles, management practices, marketing, finance, human resources, and organizational behaviour. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, students gain the skills required to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.

The curriculum is structured to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Students are exposed to real-world business scenarios, case studies, industry interactions, and project-based learning to prepare them for successful careers in business, management, and entrepreneurship.

  • DURATION OF THE COURSE: (3 years / 6 Semesters)
  • ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION Students who have passed Pre-University Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in any discipline are eligible to apply.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

  • All papers of this course shall be set, valued, and reviewed by the respective Board of Examination, University of Mysore, Mysore

ATTENDANCE

  • Each semester shall be treated as a separate unit for attendance calculation. Students must maintain a minimum of  75% attendance in each semester.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION:

  • The medium of instruction shall be English. However, students may write examinations in Kannada wherever permitted by university regulations.

BREAK-UP OF MARKS FOR THEORY AND PRACTICAL COURSES/PAPERS:

  • Each theory paper shall comprise 100 marks.
  • 80 marks shall be allotted for Semester End Examination.
  • 20 marks shall be allotted for Internal Assessment.

QUESTION PAPER PATTERN

  • Part – A: Two Questions to be answered out of four questions. 2 X 15 = 30
  • Part – B: Three Questions to be answered out of five questions. 3 X 10 = 30
  • Part – C: Four Questions to be answered out of six questions. 4 X 5 = 20

MINIMUM FOR PASS AND PROMOTION OF THE CANDIDATE TO THE SUCCEEDING SEMESTER:

  • Minimum for a pass in each course shall be 30%, and for all the courses in the semester average shall be 40%. However, a candidate has to score minimum of 30% of theory component of semester end examination i.e. 24(rounded off) marks out of 80 marks
