Inauguration of Student Council And The Release “Voice Of Hindustan”

The Inauguration of Student Council and the release of first issue “Voice of Hindustan”, a monthly Newsletter was held on 2nd August 2019. Mr. Venkatesh Kumar, Managing Director, Indian TV was invited as chief guest for the programme. Mr. Sachiddannada Moorthy, Chairman, DAV Public School & SVM PU College was invited as the guest of honour for the occasion. The formal inauguration was done by lighting the lamp.  Ms. Dhanlakshmi R, Student Welfare Coordinator presented the report of Student Council selections. Dr. C. J. Priya, Principal in her address congratulated the student leaders and highlighted the importance of the role and responsibilities of student council. She urged the students to develop participatory power which is necessary for leadership and to take leadership with social responsibility. The badges for the student council leaders were distributed which was followed by oath taking at office. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sachiddannada Moorthy, stressed the importance of time management in our life. He advised the students to respect the teachers and congratulated the elected Student Council members. By quoting the examples of eminent politicians/ personalities like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, H.D.Devegowda,  Abraham Lincoln, he adviced the students to consider the failure as the first step towards success. Mohammed Shakeel, III B.Com (President), Pooja C, III BCA (Vice President) Vishnu Priya, II B.Com (General Secretary), Pruthvik, I B.Com (Joint Secretary), Nagarjun, II BCA (Sports Secretary) and Chandrashekhar B, III B.Com (Cultural Secretary) were congratulated for being elected as Student Council members for the academic year 2019-20. The first issue of the monthly newsletter, “Voice of Hindustan” which carried the achievements of students and contribution of staff was released by the dignitaries on the diaz. Ms. Nagasri S, Chief Editor of the newsletter, in her address mentioned the importance of releasing the newsletter. She thanked the Editorial team members for their work commitment in making the dream of newsletter come true. Ms. Meghana of I BBA and Mohammed Shakeel of III B.Com introduced the guests to the gathering. Ms. Shakthi of III BCA welcomed the gathering. Sanjay Kumar.B.R. of III BBA, proposed vote of thanks.
