ORIENTATION PROGRAM – 2025

The Postgraduate Department of Commerce organized an Orientation Program for the second batch of M.Com students (2025–2026) on September 23, 2025. The Chief Guest, Kumaraswamy M., Professor, Department of Studies in Commerce, University of Mysore, delivered a comprehensive and thought-provoking session that spanned over an hour, specifically tailored to guide the incoming M.Com students as they embark on their academic path. His speech focused on the structural and pedagogical advantages of the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), explaining how this flexible curriculum allows students to customize their learning experiences through a balanced combination of Open Electives, Soft Core, and Hard-Core subjects. Besides, he emphasized the critical role of competitive examinations in shaping the careers of commerce graduates. The principal, in her address, highlighted the vision and academic commitment of the college and urged the students to actively engage in both academic and co-curricular activities, and emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and professional growth during the course of their postgraduate journey. The session concluded with a thanking note expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizing staff for the successful conduct of the program.
