Spectra 2020
Spectra 2020, a Two Day National Level Management, IT and Cultural Fest was organized on 12th & 13th February 2020. The fest provided a platform to students from all parts of the country to exhibit their Managerial, IT and Cultural talent by participating in various competitions crafted to showcase their skills and share their thoughts. The fest aimed to encompass everything from creativity to innovation, planning to strategy, fun to learning through various management activities and competitions. Spectra 2020 commenced with the blessings of God and lighting the lamp by the Guest of Honour Prof. G Hemantha Kumar, Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore, Mr. Dorai Thodla, Chief Technology Officer, iMorph Innovation Center Pvt Ltd., Chennai, Mr. Ashok Verghese, Director, Hindustan University, Chennai, K S Bharadwaj, Chief Flight Instructor, Orient Flights Aviation Academy, Mysuru, Mr. Abel Mathew Prasad, Special Officer, HFGC and Dr. C J Priya, Principal, HFGC. The fest was highlighted with their objectives and sound outcomes. The eminent guests emphasized on the importance of such events in the competitive environment, appreciated the enthusiasm of the host college and congratulated the students and whole team for the success of the fest. The Class toppers and Subject toppers were rewarded for their outstanding performance. The inaugural programme concluded with a thanking note by Mr. Eshwar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Management, HFGC.
11events were conducted during the fest which includes Hackathon, Finance, Marketing, Best Manager, Human Resource, Treasure Hunt, Short Movie Contest, Music Band, Fashion Contest, Cultural Event and Photography. Spectra 2020 witnessed 168 teams comprising 572 participants from different colleges which include Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai, Jains College, Bangalore, Sheshadripuram First Grade College, Mysuru, JSS Law College, Mysuru, Sri K Puttaswamy First Grade College, Mysuru, St. Joseph’s First Grade College, Mysuru, Pooja Bhagavath Memorial Mahajana PG Wings, Mysuru, Marimallappa Science and BBA College, Mysuru, St. Philomena’s Degree College, Mysuru, Seshadripuram First Grade College, Tumkur, Cresta School of Management, Mysuru, Christ College, Mysuru, SJCE College, Mysuru, MIT First Grade College, Mysuru, Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru, Government College (Autonomous), Mandya, Amrita School of Arts & Science, Mysuru, JSS College Arts, Commerce and Science, Mysuru, Vidhyaashram First Grade College, Mysuru, Orient Flights Aviation Academy, Mysuru, Sapeint First Grade College, Mysuru, Sharada Vilas College First Grade College, Mysuru, NIE First Grade College, Mysuru, Mahajana PG Centre, Mysuru, Yuvaraja’s College, Mysuru, Vidya Vikas Hotel Management , Mysuru, GSSS Women’s College, Mysuru, Vidyavardhaka First Grade College, Mysuru, Depaul First Grade College, Mysuru, Teresian First Grade College, Mysuru and MICA First Grade College, Mysuru.
The Valedictory Programme was held on 13th February 2020 which also witnessed good participation in form of eminent guests and the students. The celebrities namely Mr. Arava Gowda, Ms. Anusha, Ms. Sindhu Lokanath, Mr. Vikas, Mr. Aryan, Special Officer Mr. Abel Mathew Prasad, Principal Dr. C J Priya and Program Convenor Mr. Eshwar V were present on the dias. The Winners and Runners of all the events were awarded with cash prize and a trophy. The events and performances were reviewed. The Overall Championship Winners was bagged by Jains College, Bangalore and JSS College, Mysuru emerged as Runners. The guests presented cash prizes to the winners & runner-ups of all the 11 events and the certificates were also given to all the participants. Refreshments and Lunch was provided to all the participants and Accommodation was provided to all outstation participants.
