CERTIFICATION PROGRAM ON “BASIC CARE & LIFE SUPPORT (BCLS)”
The Department of Aviation Management at Hindustan College organized a certification program on “Basic Care & Life Support (BCLS)” on 18th October 2024, in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The program, held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., equipped students with essential life-saving skills relevant to their field.
Participants began with a pre-test to assess their existing knowledge, which guided the course content. The sessions covered key topics such as handling medical emergencies, scene safety, primary assessment, cardiac arrest management, CPR, AED usage, and choking relief. The sessions were led by experts, including Dr. Rekha, Mr. Sathyaraj, Mr. Yogesh, and Dr. Divyashree, who provided theoretical knowledge and practical demonstrations.
Hands-on training included applying tourniquets, practicing CPR techniques on manikins, and simulating AED application. The program concluded with a post-test that evaluated participants’ understanding and skills through written and practical assessments. The training provided students with critical emergency management skills, significantly enhancing their preparedness for real-world situations in their professional careers.
