Admission Procedure
In order to make it convenient for the students seeking admission to Hindustan College, certain common policies and procedures have been laid out. Policies enumerated herein are subject to change.
Eligibility criteria for the following courses:
B.Com
- Students are admitted based on their Pre University/CBSC score
- Students are admitted through lateral entry to second year if he/she is completed diploma
B.B.A(AM)
- Students are admitted based on their Pre University/CBSC score
- Students are admitted through lateral entry to second year if he/she is completed diploma
B.C.A
- Students are admitted based on their pre University/CBSE score
- Students who have taken science stream are eligible to take B.C.A
- Students who have taken commerce/Arts and one of the subjects either maths or computer science are eligible to take B.C.A
- Students who have completed diploma are eligible to take B.C.A
ADMISSION FOR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Candidates applying for admission to Master’s Degree must be a graduate and should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks and 40% in case of SC/ ST /Category-I candidates in Cognate/Optional subjects. In case a candidate has taken longer than the prescribed duration to pass the qualifying course, a deduction of 3% of the aggregate marks of Cognate/Optional subjects for every additional year shall be made and the candidates must have obtained the minimum marks prescribed even after such deduction, to become eligible for admission. PGCET Entrance Examination is Compulsory for all Post Graduate Degree courses for all candidates except for Foreign Nationals. Candidates have to apply and appear for entrance examinations separately for the course. For admission to any PG degree course, candidates have to qualify in the respective entrance examination by securing a minimum 08 marks in case of SC / ST/ Cat-I candidates / 09 marks in case of OBC and 10 marks in case of other candidates out of 50 marks. Note: The application submitted by a candidate without qualifying the eligibility criteria for admission to the course, will not be considered, even if the candidate secures marks in the entrance examination.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAM
Two Years with Four Semesters
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction shall be in English.
ATTENDANCE
- To calculate attendance, each semester shall be taken as a Unit.
- A student shall be considered to have satisfied the requirement of attendance for the semester, if he/she has attended not less than 75% in aggregate of the number of working periods in each of the subjects compulsorily.
- A student who fails to complete the course in the manner stated above shall not be permitted to take the University Examination.
General Instruction
- Application for admission to a course should be made only in the prescribed form, which will be provided along with the prospectus.
- Application forms properly filled in should be sent only to admission Office or handed over in person along with (1) a Xerox Copy of the mark sheet of qualifying examination attested by a Gazetted Officer (2) Prescribed Registration Fee. Registration Fee can be paid in cash at the Admission Office or by DD in favour of Hindustan College.
- All students seeking admission to any course should attach a Xerox copy of the mark sheet of qualifying examination and proof of age, duly attested along with the Application. The candidate should produce authentic Certificate indicating the corresponding marks for each grade in mark sheet.
- Applications, which are incomplete or not accompanied by the prescribed documents and Registration fees are liable for rejection.
- Admission notices will be sent to the selected candidates intimating the dates on which they should report at the Admission Office with the following Original Certificates and remit the prescribed fees in full.
Documents to be submitted during admission:
- Mark sheet of the qualifying examination and pass certificate, Transfer Certificate & Conduct Certificate.
- 4 Pass port size colour photographs.
- Any other document required.
- Students are admitted based on their PU score.
