SPECTRA 2025, DR. K.C.G. VERGHESE’S MEMORIAL INTER-COLLEGIATE TROPHY, A NATIONAL LEVEL INTERCOLLEGIATE MANAGEMENT, IT, AND CULTURAL FEST

Hindustan College hosted SPECTRA 2025, Dr. K.C.G. Verghese’s Memorial Inter-Collegiate Trophy, a National Level Intercollegiate Management, IT, and Cultural Fest on February 27th & 28th, 2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 727 students representing 53 colleges across the country, making it one of the most competitive and vibrant fests of the year.

The fest was inaugurated by Dr. Mantilingu, Director, College Development Council, University of Mysore, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge, skill-based learning, and a competitive spirit in shaping future leaders. He commended Hindustan College for organizing a grand event that integrates management, technology, and cultural excellence under one platform.

SPECTRA 2025 featured a wide array of competitions categorized into core and non-core events, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their leadership, strategic thinking, artistic skills, and creativity.

Core Events:

  • Innothon – Encouraging innovation and problem-solving.
  • HR Event – Testing leadership and human resource skills.
  • Best Manager – Identifying the most strategic and dynamic leader.
  • Marketing Challenge – A test of branding and market strategies.
  • Finance Competition – Assessing financial expertise and decision-making.
  • Aero Quest – A specialized aviation-related challenge.

Non-Core Events:

  • Dance – Mesmerizing performances across various styles.
  • Music – A platform for vocal and instrumental talent.
  • Mime – Expressing stories through silent acting.
  • Fashion Show – A creative showcase of style and innovation.
  • Treasure Hunt – A thrilling adventure testing problem-solving skills.
  • Muscle Mania – A competition of strength and fitness.
  • Stand-Up Comedy – Showcasing humor and wit.

The valedictory ceremony was held on 28th February at 6:30 p.m., marking the grand conclusion of the event. Adding prestige to the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. M Dharma Prasad, CEO & Chief Scientist at Prosetta Bioconformatics Pvt. Ltd., and Convener of the CII Mysore Chapter – Institute Interaction and Higher Education Panel, delivered an inspiring speech. He encouraged students to embrace innovation and leadership, emphasizing the need to develop skills aligned with evolving industry landscapes.
The Guest of Honor, Mr. Prakash, Senior Regional Manager at Indian Overseas Bank, Mysore, stressed the importance of skill development and adaptability in today’s dynamic world. He urged students to leverage platforms like SPECTRA 2025 to enhance their knowledge and practical expertise.

SPECTRA 2025 not only celebrated talent and creativity but also rewarded excellence with grand cash prizes and trophies. A total prize pool of Rs. 1 lakh was shared among winners and runners-up across various events with RNS College, Bangalore bagging the overall championship and Sapient College, Mysuru being the Overall Runner Up. All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their enthusiasm and efforts.

The event concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, celebrating the winners and acknowledging the immense talent displayed by all participants. The management, faculty, and students of Hindustan College expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all the participating colleges, dignitaries, and sponsors for making SPECTRA 2025 a resounding success.
