73rd Independence Day Celebration
The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated in our college on 15th August 2019. The flag was hoisted by the chief guest Captain K S Bharadwaj, Air Commodore (Retd), Chief Flight Instructor, Orient Flights Aviation Academy, Mysuru. Ms. Harini (II B.Com) welcomed the gathering. The chief guest in his address stated that today the country sees development in many forms, technology and infrastructure has transformed, the way we communicate has transformed and there are more opportunities for Indians where they are representative in many fields on global level. At the same time we see problems, discrimination, crime and violence. It is in the hands of the leaders of tomorrow to make changes. Our tryst with destiny may have ended with the British leaving our country to us, but there are many trysts that we come across. The chief guest advised students to understand the importance of commemoration of Independence day and how they can make changes in the world, for coming future The students displayed their talents through various patriotic performances which included skit by the I year B.Com students namely, Mr. Damodar, Ms. Vachana, Mr. Basavaraju, Mr. Pratham, Mr. Ganesh, Ms. Ganana, Mr. Prajwal, Ms. Chelsiya and Mr. Abishek. Patriotic dance was performed by Ms. Surabi, Mr. Gowtham, Mr.Mallikarjun, Mr. Abhishek, Mr. Prajwal, Ms. Ashwini, Ms. Preethi, Ms. Hemashree, Ms. Shakthy and Ms. Harshitha. Patriotic speech was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Shakeel(III B.Com), Ms. Meghana (II BCA) and Mr. Basavaraj(I B.Com) who filled the spirit ofpatriotism in their speech. Mr. Shakthy Shenoy (I B.Com) hosted and the programme concluded witha vote of thanks by Mr. Chandrasekhar (III B.Com) followed by National Anthem. Sweets were distributed to all the staff & students as a part of Independence day celebration.
