WEBINAR ON “CAREERS AFTER GRADUATION”

A webinar on “Careers after Graduation” was organized by the Placement and Training cell in association with IMS on 13/11/2020. The objective of the event was to guide graduate students from various streams to understand the existing circumstances of the pandemic and prepare for challenges in terms of career designing and job opportunities. Mr. Cherian Thomas, Alumus, IIM Locknow, Chief Mentor, IMS Karnataka and TN was invited as a resource person for the webinar. Dr. Mamatha, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce & Management welcomed the participants and presented a brief introduction about the session. Mr. Cherian Thomas guided students about career opportunities available after graduation, higher education options in India and abroad, exams to target and the explained the reasons for the early preparations. The students were given useful tips on what to learn & how to prepare themselves, which projects or languages to work upon, and what companies are looking for in a Fresher. The students asked lots of questions which were answered by the resource person. The session concluded with a thanking note by Dr. Mamatha, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Commerce & Management.
