
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
On January 31, 2026, the Post-Graduation Department of Commerce conducted a one-day faculty development program at the state level, titled “IPR Unlocked: Transforming Ideas into Business Assets.” Prof. Maruthi T. R., Director of the School of Law at the University of Mysore, served as the inaugural speaker for the program. 83 faculty members from a variety of institutions, including Hindustan College, participated actively in the FDP. The program consisted of two academic sessions. Prof. Maruthi T. R. conducted the initial session, which concentrated on the fundamentals of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and established a robust conceptual framework.Prof. Jagadeesh, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator at JSS Law College, Mysuru, conducted the second session. He focused on the advanced aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR) and their applicability in academia and business. The FDP was both successful and highly informative, thereby improving the participants’ comprehension of intellectual property rights (IPR) as a strategic instrument for converting ideas into valuable intellectual assets.
