Dedication and Inauguration of HFGC New Block
Hindustan First Grade College celebrated the Dedication and Inauguration of its New Block and Orient Flights Aviation Academy’s International Hostel on October 11th 2019. Dr. Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson, Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai, Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Managing Trustee, HFGC, Dr. Annie Jacob Verghese, Director, KCG College of Technology, Chennai and Dr. Susan Marthandon, Director, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai graced the occasion with their presence. The programme started with a prayer by Rev. Joby Verghese, Student Chapalin, Hindustan Institute of Technology &Science, Chennai. Principal Dr. C. J. Priya welcomed the gathering. The Chairperson Dr. Elizabeth Verghese, in her address expressed that she is happy to witness the growth of HFGC, advised to concentrate and enhance the growth of specialized programs offered by the college i.e., BBA Aviation Management and B.Sc Fashion Design and heartily congratulated the students for their achievements. 2019 till date was played during the occasion through which the gathering were given an insight regarding ample number of activities of the college. Dr. Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson, Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai inaugurated the New Block by cutting the ribbon. It was then time to thank God for being with the College Management throughout the construction of this new edifice of learning and for blessing all those who have been involved in this project, where Rev. Joby Verghese, Student Chapalin,Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, Chennai & Rev. Prakash Abraham, Vicar, Marthoma Syrian Church, Mysuru lead the ceremony of blessing through prayer service and later they blessed the interior of the building.
The new block of Hindustan First Grade College consists of anextended Computer Lab which was inaugurated by Dr. Susan Marthandan, Director, HindustanCollege of Arts and Science, Chennai.
Dr. Annie Jacob Verghese, Director, KCG College of Technology, Chennai inaugurated the newly constructed Fashion Design Lab. The Fashion Design course at Hindustan First Grade College offers the students to learn the techniques of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Professional Draping, Pattern Making and the design from concept to finished product. This programguides the students to become not only a designer with their own creative vision, but a professional prepared to take their place in this challenging industry.
The Chairperson Dr. Elizabeth Verghese distributed prizes for the student achievers of HGFC Damodara B of I B.Com who secured Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals at various National & State level Athelitic events and the team of Dancers whoperformed at Yuva Dasara 2019 were felicitated during the function. Surabhi, III BCom entertained thegathering through her semi- classical dance.
