ILLUMINATION 2026 – STATE-LEVEL INTER-COLLEGIATE LITERARY FEST
On 19 August 2026, the Department of English, Hindustan College hosted Illumination 2026, a State-Level Inter-Collegiate Literary Fest, providing students with an enriching platform to celebrate literature, creativity, and communication.
The fest featured four unique events: Book-Born, a Shakespearean character representation; Literary-Lens, a book review competition based on The Alchemist; Crossfire, a debate competition; and Word-Weave, a poetry writing and reading event.
A total of 85 students from more than 15 colleges across Mysuru participated enthusiastically in the fest. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the top performers in each event.
