
INNOTHON
The Computer Science Department organized Innothon, a state-level hackathon competition, as part of SPECTRA 2026, a National Level Inter-Collegiate Management, IT, Aviation & Cultural fest, held on 6th and 7th March 2026. The Innothon was an innovation-driven hackathon held over 8 hours, aimed at encouraging students to develop creative, practical solutions to real-world challenges. The initial six hours were spent developing applications based on the theme “AI-Driven Innovations for Social Impact and Sustainable Development”, followed by four hours of project presentations. A total of 22 teams, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and engineering students, actively participated in teams of two members each. Dr. Revathy, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science Engineering, KCG College of Technology, Chennai, and Dr. Vignesh R. S, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Engineering, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, were the judges. Participants demonstrated excellent technical skills, teamwork, and innovative thinking while addressing socially relevant problems. The event concluded successfully, providing a valuable platform for students to showcase their talents and promote collaboration, creativity, and impactful technological solutions.
