KARNATAKA RAJYOTSAVA CELEBRATION

65th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in the college on 03/11/ 2020. The day highlighted the love and pride for the state and its language. Mr. Y. D. Rajanna, President of Kannada Sahithya Parishat was invited as the Chief Guest for the programme. Mr. Mohan Kumar L.P., Physical Education Director welcomed the gathering. The Staff depicted the proud heritage of Kannada culture by singing the state anthem, portraying the attire of great poets and personalities of Karnataka. The Chief Guest Mr. Y D Rajanna gave an insightful talk which explained the rich heritage of this proud state Karnataka and his speech included different dimensions of Kannada literature and the contribution of ancient and contemporary poets to the society.

Mr. Raghavendra, Assistant Professor, Department of Kannada organized Open online competition which included poetry writing and essay writing for the students of HFGC as a part of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations. Following were the winners of the online competitions;
Essay Writing:
I Prize: Sheshan – HFGC Alumni
II Prize: Madan Kumar – I B.Com
Poem Writing:
I Prize: Mallikarjun – I B.Com
II Prize: Damodhar – II B.Com

The winners were awarded prizes during the program. The celebrations concluded with a thanking note by Ms. Sukshma, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science.
