MYSORE CITY INTER-COLLEGIATE CHESS TOURNAMENT FOR MEN & WOMEN - 2022

An Inter-Collegiate Chess Tournament in association with the University of Mysore for Men and Women was organized at Hindustan College on 15/07/2022. 21 teams from multitudes of Institutions participated out of the total 25 registered teams in each slot. Mr. Shashidhar K M, International Chess Player for the Visually Impaired was labeled as the guest for the function. Special Officer Abel Mathew Prasad, Principal Dr. CJ Priya, Physical Education Director Mohan Kumar LP along with the staff and students were present for the programme. The guest spoke about the importance of sports in an individual’s life.

Mahajana’s College, Mysuru team bagged the first prize in the men’s category of the tournament. Whereas, the ATME Engineering College team won second place. The team of JSS College, Ooty Road, Mysore secured the first position in the women’s category. The second place was won by the JSS Women’s College Saraswathipuram Mysore. Trophies and certificates were distributed to the winning teams by dignitaries on stage.
