SPECTRA 2023 – NATIONAL LEVEL INTER COLLEGIATE MANAGEMENT, IT, AVIATION & CULTURAL FEST

The Students’ Council of Hindustan College conducted SPECTRA 2023, National Level Inter Collegiate Management, IT, Aviation & Cultural Fest, with great enthusiasm and success. The event comprised of both Inauguration and a Valedictory Programme, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students.

Inaugural Programme

The Inaugural Programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the rendition of the Naada Geethe (State Anthem), invoking a sense of pride and unity among the attendees. Mr. Abel Mathew Prasad, the Special Officer, delivered a warm and welcoming speech, setting the tone for the event. Dignitaries on the dais then proceeded to light the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge. Dr. C.J. Priya, the Principal of Hindustan College, provided an overview of the event, highlighting its significance and objectives. Ms. Sukshma R.D, the Event Convenor, presented the Event Report, sharing details about the planning and execution of SPECTRA 2023. Mr. Eshwar V, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Commerce & Management at Hindustan College, made an introduction of the Chief Guest, Prof. D Anand, Director, College Development Council, University of Mysore, & Director, Directorate of Distance Education, University of Mysore to the audience. Following the Chief Guest’s address, the Special Officer and Principal felicitated Prof. D. Anand as a token of appreciation for his presence and contribution. The Prize Distribution ceremony was then conducted by Ms. Savitha K.V, the Event Coordinator, recognizing and honouring the exceptional achievements of the participants. Mr. Mohan Kumar L P, Event Coordinator, delivered a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all the individuals who contributed to the success of SPECTRA 2023. Mr. Ajay M, Assistant Professor, Department of English, conducted the event as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring a smooth flow throughout the programme.

12 events were conducted during the fest which included Hackathon, Finance, Marketing, Best Manager, Human Resource, Treasure Hunt, Fashion Contest, Solo dance, Group dance, Solo song, Mime and Aero Quest. Spectra 2023 witnessed 196 teams comprising 727 participants from different colleges.

Valedictory Programme

The Valedictory Programme took place at 07:30 p.m. and was marked by a sense of nostalgia and celebration as SPECTRA 2023 drew to a close. Mr. Eshwar V, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce & Management, delivered the Welcome Speech, expressing gratitude to all the participants and attendees for their support. Ms. Sukshma R.D, the Event Convenor, presented the Report of the event, summarizing the highlights, accomplishments, and memorable moments of SPECTRA 2023. The Valedictory Programme featured prominent guests from the entertainment industry, including Young Rebel Star Mr. Abishek Ambareesh, Sandalwood Actor, Mr. Aadhi Lokesh and Dr. Nisha Nujumudeen (Miss India International 2019 & Ms. Rampwalk 2019).

Young Rebel Star, Mr. Abishek Ambareesh, through his speech, shared valuable insights and motivated the students to pursue their dreams passionately. His words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving them inspired and motivated to reach for the stars. Similarly, Mr. Aadhi Lokesh, renowned Sandalwood Actor, delivered a powerful speech, captivating the audience with his charisma and talent. His words of encouragement and personal experiences struck a chord with the attendees, leaving a profound impact on their minds. Additionally, Dr. Nisha Nujumudeen, Miss India International 2019, and Ms. Ramp walk 2019 graced the event with her presence. Their remarkable achievements and accomplishments served as a source of inspiration for the students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their respective fields.

The Winners and Runners of all the events were awarded with cash prizes and a trophy. The events and performances were reviewed. The Overall Championship Winners was bagged by MICA College, Mysuru with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 & trophy and Sapient College, Mysuru emerged as Runners and were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 & trophy. The guests presented cash prizes to the winners & runners-ups of all the 11 events and the certificates were also given to all the participants. Refreshments and lunch were provided to all the participants and Accommodation was provided to all out station participants.
