SPECTRA 2024

Spectra 2024, Dr. K C G Verghese Memorial Inter-Collegiate Trophy, a National Level event encompassing Management, IT, Aviation, and Cultural competitions, took place on March 22nd and 23rd, 2024. The inauguration ceremony, held at Hindustan College on March 22nd, was graced by Prof. Nagaraja, Director of the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Board (PMEB), University of Mysore, who wished the fest success. Mr. Abel Mathew Prasad, the Special Officer, and Dr. C. J. Priya, the Principal, shared the stage with him.

Various competitions including Hackathon, Treasure Hunt, Best Manager, Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Aero Fest, Solo-Singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Mime, and Fashion Show were conducted over the two days. The IT, Management, and Aviation events were hosted on the first day at the college, while the cultural events and Fashion Show took place at Kalamandira, Mysuru on the second day. A total of 668 students from different colleges participated, competing for prizes totalling up to 1 lakh Rupees.

The Valedictory Ceremony, held on the evening of March 23rd, 2024, at Kalamandira Mysore, witnessed the distribution of trophies, cash prizes, and certificates to the winners. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests including Mr. Eshwara Rao, Chairman of CII, Mysore Zone, Mr. Pratham, Actor and Big Boss Winner (Kannada), and Mr. Varthur Santosh, Big Boss Finalist (Kannada). Mr. Abel Mathew Prasad, the Special Officer, and Dr. C J Priya, the Principal, were also present on stage.

The Winners and Runners of all the events were awarded with a cash prize and a trophy.  The events and performances were reviewed.  The Overall Championship was bagged by Sapient College, Mysuru with a cash prize of Rs, 20,000 & trophy and Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, Coorg emerged as Runners and were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 & trophy.  The guests presented cash prizes to the winners and runners of all the events and the certificates were also given to all the participants.  Refreshments and lunch were provided to all the participants and accommodation was provided to all outstation participants.

Thus, Spectra 2024 concluded, leaving behind a vibrant legacy of colour, joy, and expressions in the hearts of both participants and the audience.
