WORKSHOP ON UNDERSTANDING FIREWALL AND INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM

The Department of Computer Applications organized a workshop on “Understanding Firewall and Intrusion Detection System” on 27 July 2026 for  final-year BCA students.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Karan Bansod, Cyber Security Professional & Corporate Trainer, who provided valuable insights into the fundamentals of network security, cyber threats, firewalls, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). The session covered the importance of security mechanisms in protecting digital infrastructure and preventing unauthorized access.

The workshop also included practical demonstrations on firewall configuration and network monitoring, enabling students to gain hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity practices. The programme enhanced students’ technical skills and awareness of current trends in cybersecurity, preparing them for future professional opportunities in the field.
